• Dealing is done clockwise.
  
• Player-dealt game:
  The deck of cards must be shuffled and cut. In order to protect the integrity of the game three people are involved in this. The dealer on the previous takes in the discards, the player sitting to the right of the new dealer shuffles the cards. The new dealer gets them cut by the player on his right and starts to deal.
  
• The deck of cards must be riffled four times. The cut must leave a minimum of four cards in each portion.
  
• The bottom of the deck must be covered so nobody can see it.
