No Limit (Poker)
  • Optimal part of the chips of the player on the table can be put into the pot at any decision taking situation, if it conforms to the legal minimum raise.
  • The number of raises is unlimited.
  • All bets must be at least equal to the minimum blind.
  • All raises must be at least the same size of the previous bet or raise on that betting round.
  • A player who has already checked or called can not subsequently raise an all-in bet that is less than the full size of the last bet or raise. Example: Player A bets $10 and Player B raises $20, making the total bet $30. If Player C goes all in for less than $50, and Player A calls, then Player B has no option to raise again, because Player C didn’t have enough chips for the  20$ bet (Player A could have raised, because Player B raised.)
  • The bet and raise is binding only if the player has made a verbal statement of action, or the chips are actually released into the pot.
  • A bet of a single chip without comment is considered to be the full amount of the chip allowed.
  • If there is a discrepancy between a player's verbal statement and the amount put into the pot, the bet is corrected to the verbal statement.
  • If the verbal statement of a raise is without stating amount, and one chip is put into the pot, the full amount of chip counts.
  • If a player tries to bet or raise less than the legal minimum and has more chips, the wager must be increased to the proper size.
  • In cash games all bets must be a multiple of the minimum blind. (Some online poker rooms don’t follow this).
  • In cash-games, one optional live straddle is allowed. The player who posts in UTG position must post an amount twice the size of the big blind, but he can come last before the flop. (Online poker rooms don’t apply this, mainly in live tournaments)
  • When someone is all-in the involved players are allowed to agree to deal twice (or three times). "Dealing twice" means the pot is divided in two, with each portion being dealt for separately.
